Incheon: Police announced on Monday their decision not to reveal the identity of a man accused of fatally shooting his son in Incheon last week. The incident took place during the suspect's birthday celebration at the son's residence.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the 62-year-old man was apprehended on charges of killing his 33-year-old son using a homemade firearm on July 20. Following the arrest, police uncovered several explosive devices at the suspect's home in northern Seoul.
The Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency, responsible for the investigation, cited strong opposition from the bereaved family as the reason for not disclosing the suspect's identity or photograph. The family expressed concerns that revealing personal information could inflict secondary harm on the victim's family and young children.
