S. Korea and U.S. Conduct Joint Air Drills with B-1B Bomber

Seoul: South Korea and the United States conducted joint air exercises on Tuesday, featuring at least one U.S. B-1B bomber, over the Korean Peninsula. The exercise was aimed at showcasing strength in response to military threats from North Korea, as confirmed by the defense ministry.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the drills included the participation of South Korean F-35A and F-16 fighter jets, alongside U.S. F-16s. The exercise was intended to demonstrate the combined military capabilities of the allies against North Korea's growing nuclear and missile threats.

Details regarding the exact location of the drills and the number of B-1B bombers involved were not disclosed. The last occurrence of a similar joint air exercise by the allies took place in February.
