S. Korea, U.S. Conduct Air Drills Featuring B-1B Bomber Amid North Korean Threats

Seoul: South Korea and the United States conducted combined air drills on Thursday, featuring at least one B-1B bomber. This exercise served as a demonstration of military strength in response to threats from North Korea, as announced by South Korea's defense ministry.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the exercise included participation from South Korean F-35A and F-15K fighter jets alongside U.S. F-16 fighters. This event marked the first joint air drills between the two allies this year.

The South Korean defense ministry highlighted that the training aimed to showcase the U.S. extended deterrence capabilities in countering North Korea's nuclear and missile threats. Additionally, the drills sought to enhance the interoperability of combined forces from South Korea and the United States.
