Samsung Electronics Appoints Roh Tae-moon as Acting Head of Device Division

Seoul: Samsung Electronics Co. announced Tuesday that President Roh Tae-moon has been appointed as the acting head of its TV, mobile, and home appliances division. This appointment fills the vacancy left by the late Vice Chairman Han Jong-hee, who passed away last week.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Roh will take over the leadership of the company's Device eXperience (DX) division, which was previously overseen by Han. In addition to this responsibility, Roh will also assume the role of chairman of the Quality Innovation Committee, a position that Han formerly held.

Samsung Electronics stated that the appointment is intended to minimize the leadership gap and stabilize the organization quickly. Roh, a renowned expert in smartphone development, has played a significant role in the success of Samsung Electronics' Galaxy brand and has led the company's mobile division since 2020.
