Suwon: Samsung Electronics Co. aims to bolster its competitiveness in the artificial intelligence (AI) sector amid growing external business uncertainties, its semiconductor chief said Friday.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Vice Chairman Jun Young-hyun emphasized the transformative impact of AI, noting that the sector has already demolished boundaries among industries to create a new world. During an event marking the company's 56th anniversary, he highlighted the necessity for Samsung to evolve into an "AI-driven company," especially as it navigates current external uncertainties.
Jun further stated that Samsung Electronics will make concerted efforts to integrate its unique technology with AI capabilities. The event, attended by around 400 corporate officials, was held at the tech giant's headquarters in Suwon, south of Seoul.
