SK Hynix CEO Hints at Sellout of 2026 HBM Production

Seoul: The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of SK hynix Inc., Kwak Noh-jung, announced that the company is poised to conclude negotiations on high bandwidth memory (HBM) sales for the upcoming year, suggesting that its HBM production for 2026 may soon be completely allocated.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Kwak revealed during a general shareholders' meeting in Icheon, located 58 kilometers southeast of Seoul, that discussions with customers regarding next year's HBM volumes will be finalized by the first half of this year. This move is aimed at bolstering sales stability for the company.

Kwak's statement implies that SK hynix is nearing the full allocation of its HBM production plan for the coming year. The company has already exhausted this year's HBM production, delivering its 12-layer HBM3E product to prominent clients such as Nvidia Corp.

Additionally, samples of the forthcoming HBM4 chips, which are slated for mass production in the latter half of this year, have been distributed to customers.
