Seoul: SKC Co., a South Korean chemical materials producer, on Tuesday reported its fourth-quarter net loss of 262.2 billion won (US$180.5 million), remaining in the red compared with a year ago. The company said in a regulatory filing that it continued to post an operating loss of 82.6 billion won for the October-December period, compared with a loss of 83.2 billion won a year earlier. Revenue rose 75.3 percent to 425 billion won.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the significant increase in revenue did not offset the losses, indicating ongoing challenges for SKC. Despite the rise in revenue, the company's financial performance in the fourth quarter reflects persistent hurdles in achieving profitability. The latest figures underscore the need for strategies to address the underlying issues impacting the company's bottom line.
