South Korea Showcases Defense Products at International Fair in Turkey

Seoul: South Korea is set to participate in a major international defense industry fair in Turkey this week, aiming to showcase its domestic defense products and enhance export opportunities, as announced by the country's arms procurement agency.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the International Defence Industry Fair began on Tuesday in Istanbul and will continue for five days. The event is expected to draw defense officials from over 80 countries, including members of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

Six small and medium-sized enterprises from South Korea are participating in the fair, presenting homegrown defense technologies with the goal of penetrating the European and Middle Eastern markets. The Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) has highlighted this as a strategic move to expand South Korea's defense industry presence globally.

DAPA has also revealed plans to establish joint booths at upcoming defense exhibitions in Poland in September and the United States in October, further emphasizing its commitment to promoting South Korean defense technologies on the international stage.
