Seoul: South Korea will host Bolivia in a men's football friendly match in November, the sport's national federation said Friday. The Korea Football Association (KFA) announced that Bolivia will be the Taegeuk Warriors' first opponent during the November 10-18 FIFA international match window. The exact date and venue for the match have yet to be determined, according to the KFA.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Bolivia recently achieved a notable victory over Brazil, winning 1-0 in their regional World Cup qualifiers. This victory has positioned Bolivia to compete in the inter-confederation playoffs scheduled for March next year. Historically, South Korea has faced Bolivia three times, securing two wins and a draw. Their first encounter, a goalless draw, occurred during the group stage of the 1994 World Cup in the United States, with South Korea's current head coach, Hong Myung-bo, participating as a player. In their most recent meeting in March 2019, South Korea emerged victorious with a 1-0 win.
Before facing Bolivia, South Korea is set to host Brazil and Paraguay in Seoul on October 10 and 14, respectively.
