Seoul: South Korea will host Ghana in the second of their two men's football friendly matches in November, the sport's national federation said Thursday.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the Korea Football Association (KFA) confirmed that South Korea and Ghana will face off on November 18, aligning with the FIFA international match window. Previously, the KFA had announced that South Korea will play Bolivia on November 14. Details regarding the venue and kickoff time for both matches are yet to be disclosed.
Ghana recently secured their spot in the 2026 FIFA World Cup by topping their group in the African qualifiers. They are currently ranked 75th in the FIFA rankings, 52 spots below South Korea. Historically, the Taegeuk Warriors have recorded three wins and four losses against Ghana, including a 3-2 defeat during the group stage of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
In their recent outings, South Korea split their two friendly matches in October, suffering a 5-0 defeat to Brazil last Friday but bouncing back to secure a 2-0 victory over Paraguay four days later.
