South Korean Bond Yields Experience Mixed Movements

Seoul: South Korean bond yields exhibited mixed movements across various tenors on June 9, 2025.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the 1-year Treasury Bond (TB) yield decreased by 0.6 basis points to 2.278% from the previous session's 2.284%. The 2-year TB yield saw a slight increase of 0.1 basis points, moving from 2.376% to 2.377%. Meanwhile, the 3-year TB yield fell by 0.7 basis points, ending the session at 2.405% compared to the previous 2.412%.

The 10-year TB yield experienced a more significant decline, dropping by 2.4 basis points, concluding at 2.867% from 2.891% in the prior session. In the Monetary Stabilization Bonds (MSB) category, the 2-year MSB yield decreased by 0.7 basis points to 2.370% from the previous 2.377%.

Corporate bonds also showed downward movement, with the 3-year Corporate Bond (CB) rated AA- dropping by 1.3 basis points to 2.960% from 2.973%. Additionally, the yield on the 91-day Certificate of Deposit (CD) decreased by 1.0 basis point, ending at 2.570% compared to the earlier 2.580%.
