South Korean Government to Launch Korean Pavilion at MWC 2025 to Support Local Firms

Seoul: The South Korean government announced plans to operate a Korean pavilion at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025, focusing on artificial intelligence (AI) and fifth-generation (5G) mobile networks. This initiative aims to fully support South Korean companies participating in the annual event.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the pavilion, co-organized by the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), will feature a record 147 South Korean companies and nine institutions. The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy stated that the pavilion will showcase innovations in 5G telecommunications equipment, the Internet of Things (IoT), generative AI, and integrated technologies.

Exhibits at the pavilion will include Eucast Co.'s wireless access solutions and C4Line Co.'s gigabit Wi-Fi extender. Additionally, CIT, an advanced materials firm, will present its award-winning transparent antenna from CES 2025, alongside Wata AI's robotics-powered warehouse management platform, also recognized at CES 2025.

KOTRA has successfully attracted over 50 buyers and investors from 14 countries, including Britain, Poland, and the Czech Republic, through its regional trade offices. These efforts will facilitate on-site consultations with participating companies during MWC 2025.

MWC 2025 is set to begin in Barcelona, Spain, on Monday and will run for four days. The event will feature cutting-edge innovations from global tech leaders and is regarded as one of the world's top three annual tech events, alongside CES in the United States and IFA in Germany.
