Seoul: A special counsel team announced on Thursday that it has suspended the execution of a warrant intended to interrogate the imprisoned former President Yoon Suk Yeol. The decision was made out of concern for potential injury due to Yoon's "stubborn refusal" to comply.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the special counsel team led by Min Joong-ki made the decision approximately two hours after arriving at the Seoul Detention Center in Uiwang, located just south of the capital. Yoon has been detained there since July 10, following charges linked to his unsuccessful attempt to impose martial law in December.
