Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index saw mixed results with notable shifts in stock prices as trading closed. Various companies experienced fluctuations, reflecting a day of diverse trading patterns on the market.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Samsung Electronics Mech witnessed a significant rise, closing at 123,300, marking an increase of 4,500. Similarly, HD Hyundai saw substantial gains, ending the trading day at 97,700, up by 10,800. SK Square also climbed to 108,200, gaining 7,700. Meanwhile, Hanwha experienced an increase, closing at 67,500, up by 5,700.
On the downside, LS Electric faced a notable decline, closing at 248,500 with a decrease of 11,000. HD KSOE also dropped significantly, ending at 289,500, down by 6,500. Samsung F and M Insurance saw a decrease, closing at 391,500, down by 3,500. HtlShilla experienced a slight decline, ending at 48,800, down by 100.
Other companies like KIA Corp. and Hanmi Science had positive outcomes, with KIA Corp. closing at 89,000, up by 800, and Hanmi Science ending at 34,600, up by 250. Conversely, F and F and Hanall Biopharma faced declines, closing at 74,600 and 25,250, down by 2,000 and 900, respectively.
In the energy sector, Kogas saw a decrease, closing at 40,500, down by 700, while S-Oil ended at 56,400, down by 100. In contrast, KorZinc achieved gains, closing at 748,000, up by 5,000. The trading day also saw Youngone Holdings rise to 115,700, up by 1,200, and Kumho Petrochem increase to 114,100, up by 1,700, showcasing a varied trading pattern in the market.
