Stock Market Update: KOSPI 200 Sees Varied Movements in Closing Prices

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed varied movements in the closing prices of its constituent companies. Among the notable changes, Hanwha Ocean experienced a significant rise, closing at 81,400, which marks an increase of 5,100. Meanwhile, LIG Nex1 saw a substantial decrease, closing at 281,500, down by 11,000.

According to Yonhap News Agency, other notable performers included Kiwoom, which closed at 125,300, up by 3,600, and Cosmax, which increased by 1,100 to 181,600. On the downside, LGCHEM dropped by 3,500 to 231,500, and LG H and H declined by 3,000 to close at 325,000.

Additional movements were observed in HD Hyundai Infracore, which ticked up by 40 to close at 9,750, and KEPCO KPS, which decreased by 400 to 43,100. The technology sector saw mixed results, with HANMISemi rising by 1,300 to 88,400, while LGELECTRONICS fell by 1,400, ending at 80,700.

In the financial sector, Meritz Financial rose by 1,100 to close at 118,800, whereas JB Financial Group saw a decline of 160, closing at 16,920. ShinhanGroup and KIH remained stable, with no changes in their closing prices at 46,550 and 75,500 respectively.

The market's performance reflects a mix of gains and losses across various sectors, indicating fluctuating investor sentiment.
