Seoul: National Security Adviser Wi Sung-lac met with his Japanese counterpart, Masataka Okano, in Seoul on Friday to discuss ways to advance bilateral ties as well as a range of issues, including North Korea, the presidential office said.
According to Yonhap News Agency, both sides exchanged their opinions on developing South Korea-Japan relations as well as regional and international issues, including those concerning North Korea. The presidential office stated that they agreed to continue close communications going forward.
The meeting came as Okano visited Seoul on Friday, following their first official conversation held by phone on June 13.
