Seoul: South Korean newspapers reported on a significant development in the defense relationship between the United States and South Korea, with the U.S. officially announcing its approval of South Korea’s nuclear submarine construction and support for uranium enrichment.

According to Yonhap News Agency, major Korean-language dailies highlighted the U.S. endorsement, marking a new chapter in the alliance between the two nations. The fact sheet released by the U.S. outlines its support for South Korea’s nuclear sub construction. This move is seen as a strategic enhancement of South Korea’s military capabilities.
