SEOUL: Unification Minister Kim Yung-ho has indicated he will wait for the consolidation of multiple ongoing investigations into the recent martial law declaration before cooperating, a ministry official announced. The investigations are being conducted by various agencies concerning President Yoon Suk Yeol's temporary imposition of martial law earlier this month.According to Yonhap News Agency, the special police investigation team requested Kim's presence for questioning as a witness on Tuesday, but he was unable to attend due to a conflicting plenary parliamentary session. The investigation into the martial law declaration on December 3 is currently being conducted by the police, the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials, the prosecution, and the defense ministry, each operating separate inquiries.The ministry official stated that Minister Kim plans to engage with the investigation once a streamlined approach has been established. Kim was reportedly among the ministers present at a meeting convened by President Yoon shortly before declaring martial law.
