Vietnamese President Urges Stable Environment for APEC Trade and Investment

Gyeongju: Vietnamese President Luong Cuong on Thursday emphasized the need for a "stable" environment to promote trade and investment in the Asia-Pacific region. Speaking at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) CEO Summit in Gyeongju, Cuong highlighted the significance of "solidarity" for regional economic growth.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Cuong stressed the importance of creating conditions that allow for freer trade and investment. He attributed the Asia-Pacific region's success to factors such as broad economic integration, free trade and investment, a stable business environment, and leadership in science and technology.

Cuong urged APEC member economies to set aside differences and enhance cooperation, arguing that economy and technology should serve as "tools" to improve life rather than sources of "confrontation." He emphasized the crucial role of promoting trade, investment, and inclusive regional growth.

Cuong's visit to South Korea commenced on Wednesday, with his arrival at Busan's Gimhae International Airport.
