Seoul: The virtual K-pop boy band Plave will embark on a six-city Asian tour, starting in August, its agency, Vlast, announced Friday. The groundbreaking tour, titled "DASH: Quantum Leap," will begin at Seoul's KSPO Dome from August 15-17, marking a historic occasion as Plave becomes the first virtual band to perform at the massive venue, which has a capacity of over 10,000 spectators.
According to Yonhap News Agency, following their Seoul performances, Plave will continue their tour in Taipei on August 23, Hong Kong on October 1, Jakarta on October 18, Bangkok on October 25, and will conclude with performances in Tokyo on November 1-2. This tour represents a significant milestone for the band since their debut in March 2023.
Plave achieved notable success with their third EP, "Caligo Pt.1," released in February, which became a million-seller. The five-track EP marked Plave's first new album release in about five months, with the lead track "Dash" achieving significant success by charting on Billboard's Global 200.
In addition to their tour, Plave is set to make their debut in Japan by releasing a new Japanese single, expanding their presence in the Asian music market and further establishing their unique place in the world of K-pop.
