World Leaders Conclude APEC Summit with Hanbok Scarf Photo Session

Gyeongju: The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit concluded in the southeastern city of Gyeongju, with a ceremonial group photo featuring world leaders wearing scarves inspired by traditional Korean hanbok attire.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the two-day summit ended with President Lee Jae Myung transferring the APEC chairmanship to Chinese President Xi Jinping, as China is set to host next year's summit. In keeping with APEC's tradition of showcasing local culture, the leaders of the 21 member economies were adorned in mint-colored scarves made from hanbok fabric for the photo session.

President Lee was positioned at the center of the stage, flanked by President Xi on his right and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto on his left. To the left of Subianto stood Japan's new Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, as the leaders observed the APEC custom in their coordinated attire.
