Seoul: Renault Korea Motors Co., the South Korean branch of Renault S.A., reported a significant rise in its monthly sales, which grew by 15.7 percent from the previous year in March. This increase was largely driven by strong demand for the Grand Koleos sport utility vehicle (SUV) in the domestic market.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Renault Korea achieved total sales of 8,256 vehicles last month, compared to 7,133 units in the same period last year. The impressive growth was primarily fueled by domestic sales, which saw a 100 percent increase year-on-year, reaching 6,116 units. However, exports saw a decline, dropping 58 percent to 2,140 units.
The Grand Koleos emerged as the top performer for the company, with 5,195 units sold within South Korea. In contrast, the overseas market recorded sales of 187 units for the model.
