KOSPI 200 Closing Prices Reflect Mixed Performance Across Sectors

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed varied movements as several key players experienced fluctuations in their closing prices. Financial institutions such as Meritz Financial and BNK Financial Group saw declines, with Meritz Financial closing at 117,900, down by 1,200, and BNK Financial Group at 9,950, down by 620. Meanwhile, iM Financial Group also experienced a decrease, dropping by 60 to close at 9,650.

According to Yonhap News Agency, retail giant emart closed at 91,000, reflecting a decrease of 300, while HtlShilla saw a significant increase, closing up by 5,000 at 44,100. In the technology sector, KakaoBank and Netmarble reported gains, with KakaoBank up by 200 to 22,100 and Netmarble rising by 1,050 to 44,850. Conversely, Doosan Bobcat ended the day at 46,050, down by 300.

In the industrial sector, HANJINKAL experienced a drop of 700 to settle at 80,100, whereas HANKOOK TIRE and TECHNOLOGY saw an increase, closing at 406,50, up by 350. Meanwhile, Samsung Biologics posted an increase, ending at 1,037,000, up by 2,000, while KRAFTON's shares rose by 4,000 to reach 377,000.

The energy sector had mixed results, with HD HYUNDAI rising by 1,000 to 77,400, but HD HYUNDAI ELECTRIC fell by 1,500, ending at 298,000. In the chemical industry, SKCHEM declined by 750 to 39,750, while ISUSPECIALTYCHEMICAL dropped by 1,550 to 43,550.

Other notable movements included HYBE's shares climbing by 16,000 to 248,500, and HYOSUNG TNC experiencing a rise of 19,000, closing at 232,500. On the other hand, SKSQUARE saw a decrease of 3,000, settling at 86,700.
