Ex-PM Han Endorses PPP’s Kim Moon-soo, Plans Early Vote

Seoul: Former Prime Minister Han Duck-soo announced on Wednesday his endorsement of People Power Party presidential candidate Kim Moon-soo and his intention to participate in early voting this week. Han shared his support through a post on Facebook, coinciding with the start of the two-day early voting period for the June 3 presidential election.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Han expressed his unwavering support for Kim Moon-soo, urging supporters to rally behind Kim with the same enthusiasm they had shown him during his brief presidential campaign. Han's campaign concluded when the People Power Party chose Kim as its final candidate. "As I cheer for and support candidate Kim, I plan to go to a nearby polling station early tomorrow morning," Han stated, emphasizing his proactive role in the election process.

Han previously held the position of prime minister under the administration of ousted former President Yoon Suk Yeol. He stepped in as acting leader following Yoon's impeachment and removal from office due to the failed implementation of martial law in December. Han's message also highlighted his concerns about the potential presidency of Democratic Party candidate Lee Jae-myung, warning of challenges to economic prosperity and national unity if the opposition gains more power.
