Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index closed with a positive trend as several major companies reported gains. Notable increases were observed in key players such as Samsung Biologics, SK hynix, and Hyundai Engineering and Construction, reflecting a promising day for investors.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Samsung Biologics saw its stock price rise to 1,034,000, marking an increase of 3,000. SK hynix also experienced a significant boost, with its share price climbing by 10,000 to reach 217,500. Hyundai Engineering and Construction recorded an uptick as well, with its stock price increasing by 3,100 to settle at 68,800.
Other companies that contributed to the upward momentum included CJ Logistics, which increased by 3,600 to 83,500, and Doosan, which surged by 53,500 to 540,000. The day was marked by several other notable gains, including KCC up by 23,000 to 325,000, HD Hyundai climbing 7,400 to 120,300, and HYBE rising 9,000 to 281,000.
However, not all companies experienced gains. SKBP saw a decrease of 1,400, closing at 89,700, while Netmarble dropped by 400 to 54,700. KakaoBank and Hanwha Vision also saw declines, with their stock prices falling by 350 and 600, respectively.
Despite these setbacks, the overall performance of the KOSPI 200 reflects a strong market position, driven by advances in various sectors. The day's trading concluded with a sense of optimism among investors, buoyed by the substantial gains among leading companies.
