Pyongyang: A delegation from North Korea's state-run news agency, Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), has left for Russia to attend a meeting of a regional association of news agencies. The KCNA announced that the delegation, led by Vice President Kang Chol, departed from Pyongyang to participate in the 19th plenary meeting of the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA) in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the visit comes amidst increasing collaboration between North Korea and Russia in various sectors such as defense, economy, public health, and education. This development follows North Korea's involvement in deploying troops alongside Russia in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
