Seoul: Babymonster, the rising girl group from YG Entertainment, is set to release a new single titled "Hot Sauce" next month, the company announced on Monday. The song, scheduled for release on July 1, will offer a modern twist on the sound of 1980s old-school hip-hop.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Yang Hyun-suk, YG's executive producer, has described "Hot Sauce" as a "gift for fans to enjoy this summer." He noted that the track captures the energy of mid-to-late 1980s hip-hop and features an addictive beat, promising to bring a fresh and nostalgic sound to listeners.
Following the release of "Hot Sauce," Babymonster plans to keep the momentum going with another single in September, followed by an EP in October. However, one member, Rami, will not be participating in the upcoming album due to ongoing health issues that have sidelined her since earlier this year.
"Rami still needs more time to recover. We ask for your generous understanding as we put the artist's health first. We will continue to support Rami's recovery and Babymonster's activities," YG Entertainment stated in a release, emphasizing their commitment to Rami's well-being and the group's future endeavors.
