BOK to Sell 7.2 Trillion Won Monetary Stabilization Bonds in July

Seoul: South Korea's central bank announced its plan to sell up to 7.2 trillion won (US$5.31 billion) worth of monetary stabilization bonds (MSBs) in July.

According to Yonhap News Agency, this planned issuance marks a 600 billion-won increase from the previous month. Monetary stabilization bonds are utilized as policy tools to absorb excess liquidity in the market and are sold to both financial institutions and individuals. The Bank of Korea (BOK) continues to adjust its strategies to manage liquidity within the financial system.
