N. Korea Escalates Rhetoric Against U.S. Amid Stalled Diplomacy

Pyongyang: North Korea's state media on Thursday heightened its fiery rhetoric against the United States, as Pyongyang continues to show little inclination towards engaging in diplomatic talks with Washington or Seoul.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the North's Rodong Sinmun newspaper criticized the ongoing South Korea-U.S. military exercises, viewing them as evidence of Washington's unchanging invasion ambitions against North Korea. The newspaper accused the U.S. of perpetuating its anti-North policy by maintaining strategic military assets on the Korean Peninsula, which it claims has worsened security conditions and provoked tensions.

The Rodong Sinmun emphasized North Korea's growing strength, contrasting it with countries that have suffered due to perceived weakness. The daily stressed the importance of maintaining efforts to enhance defense capabilities, warning that any lapse could endanger both the country's security environment and its people's livelihoods.

The publication further argued that the U.S.-led unipolar international order is fracturing, fundamentally altering the power dynamics in East Asia and creating a significant breach in the rule of "imperialism."
