Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced a session of mixed movements, showcasing gains in several major stocks while others saw declines. With fluctuations observed across the board, some companies managed to climb significantly, contributing to the overall performance of the index.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Hyundai Elevator marked an increase, closing at 80,000, up by 1,300. HankukCarbon also saw an uptick, finishing at 23,100, which is an increase of 100. Among the technology giants, SAMSUNG SDS closed higher at 166,000, gaining 1,800. Korea Aerospace recorded a rise to 85,500, up by 800. Meanwhile, Kumho Tire saw a slight decline, ending at 4,895, down by 25.
Further gains were noted for Coway, which ended the session at 96,600, albeit down by 300. POSCO DX, another key player, closed at 23,800, marking a decrease of 600. Lotte Shopping's stock increased to 76,300, up by 300. On the financial side, IBK rose to 19,080, up by 130, while Dongsuh experienced a significant rise to 30,200, marking an increase of 850.
SamsungE and A saw a decline, closing at 23,750, down by 150. Conversely, SAMSUNG C and T increased to 162,700, up by 200. PanOcean faced a small drop, closing at 3,835, down by 10. SAMSUNG CARD ended higher at 51,700, up by 300, and CheilWorldwide saw an increase, closing at 21,000, up by 500.
Lotte Wellfood experienced a substantial rise, closing at 126,600, up by 5,300. KT saw a decline, closing at 57,100, down by 600. LG Uplus also experienced a decrease, closing at 14,170, down by 360. SAMSUNG LIFE recorded gains, closing at 126,500, up by 2,600, while KT and G saw a significant increase, closing at 136,200, up by 6,600.
Doosan Enerbility closed the session at 62,900, up by 2,900, while LG Display faced a decline, ending at 9,160, down by 140. SK closed lower at 194,700, down by 1,900. Hanon Systems and Kangwonland also saw declines, closing at 3,255 and 19,640, respectively.
In contrast, NAVER experienced a large gain, closing at 256,000, up by 7,000, while Kakao increased to 60,100, up by 1,700. SK hynix saw a modest rise, closing at 271,000, up by 500. Youngpoong closed at 44,350, up by 1,050, and HyundaiEng and Const increased to 71,700, up by 400.
Hanwha faced a decline, closing at 83,600, down by 400. However, CJ saw a significant rise, closing at 152,300, up by 3,400. DOOSAN closed at 560,000, marking an increase of 5,000. DL also closed higher at 51,600, up by 1,700, while NCsoft saw a decline, closing at 204,500, down by 2,500.
HANATOUR SERVICE ended higher at 56,000, up by 1,600, and COSMAX saw a substantial increase, closing at 252,000, up by 5,500. KIWOOM also experienced gains, closing at 214,000, up by 3,500. Lastly, Hanwha Ocean increased to 73,900, up by 800, and HD Hyundai Infracore ended slightly higher at 11,660, up by 60.
