Seoul: Jeju Air Co., South Korea's leading low-cost carrier, announced the launch of a new route to Singapore, enhancing its service network in the Asian market. The budget airline commenced daily flights on the Incheon-Singapore route starting Thursday, as detailed in the company's press release.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Jeju Air already services a route to Singapore from Busan, South Korea's largest port city, located approximately 330 kilometers southeast of Seoul. The airline's expansion aims to cater to travel demand not only to Singapore, recognized as a major financial hub and resort destination, but also to Indonesia's Batam Island, which is reachable by a one-hour ferry journey.
Jeju Air currently operates six domestic routes and roughly 70 international routes, utilizing a fleet that includes 38 Boeing 737-800NG and six Boeing 737-8 aircraft.
