Hyundai Motor’s August Sales Increase by 0.4 Percent Due to Rising Demand

Seoul: Hyundai Motor Co., South Korea's leading car manufacturer, announced a modest increase of 0.4 percent in its sales for August compared to the previous year. This growth is attributed to heightened demand both domestically and internationally.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Hyundai reported sales of 336,395 vehicles in August, a slight increase from the 334,905 units sold during the same month last year. The company's domestic sales saw a rise of 0.4 percent, reaching 58,330 units compared to 58,087 units in the previous year. Similarly, overseas sales improved by 0.5 percent, matching the total sales figure of 336,395 units from the previous year.

Cumulative sales from January to August showed a marginal growth of 0.2 percent, with a total of 2,738,043 vehicles sold, up from 2,732,043 in the same period last year. Domestic sales experienced a 2.1 percent increase, totaling 469,457 units, compared to 459,800 units previously. However, overseas sales saw a slight decline of 0.1 percent, recording 2,269,384 units against 2,272,243 units in the prior year.

A Hyundai official stated, "We will strengthen our sales and production system to better align with local demand and policies in the global market, enabling flexible responses to regional market changes." This strategic approach aims to enhance the company's adaptability to evolving market conditions worldwide.
