Seoul: Samsung Group announced plans to hire 60,000 new employees over the next five years, aiming to foster growth in future-oriented sectors and create job opportunities for young people. The conglomerate emphasized its focus on expanding its workforce in semiconductor, biotechnology, and artificial intelligence sectors.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Samsung’s strategy involves 19 affiliates, including major entities like Samsung Electronics Co., Samsung C and T Corp., and Samsung Biologics Co., actively recruiting new employees. This initiative is part of Samsung Group’s long-standing commitment to maintaining a group-wide open recruitment program for entry-level workers, a practice it has upheld since 1957.
The group also announced its plans to continue offering separate internship programs to provide young job seekers with valuable experience. These internships are designed to identify and formally hire candidates who demonstrate potential and align with Samsung’s growth objectives.
