Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced a mixed performance, with several companies witnessing gains and losses. Notably, SamsungElec surged by 3,800, closing at 83,500, while POSCO Holdings saw a decrease of 2,500, closing at 280,500.
According to Yonhap News Agency, DB INSURANCE recorded an increase of 1,700, closing at 142,500. SLCORP also saw positive movement, gaining 1,600 to close at 36,400. Yuhan experienced a significant gain, closing at 123,200, up by 4,600.
HD HYUNDAI HEAVY INDUSTRIES saw an upward movement, closing at 497,500, an increase of 4,500. SamsungElecMech made notable gains as well, rising by 9,300 to finish at 207,000. Meanwhile, GS E and C experienced a decline, closing at 18,790, down by 110.
Other companies, such as OTOKI and HYOSUNG HEAVY, saw declines, with OTOKI dropping by 6,500 to 419,000 and HYOSUNG HEAVY decreasing by 16,000 to 1,408,000. LIG Nex1 faced a considerable drop, losing 17,000 to close at 496,000.
Despite the mixed results, some companies managed to achieve gains. LS increased by 1,800, closing at 186,000, while Samsung SDI CO.,LTD. rose by 4,500 to 207,500. Additionally, HtlShilla closed at 56,400, up by 1,700, while GS Retail gained 490, ending at 17,100.
