Seoul: The prosecution announced Wednesday that charges have been dropped against a Chinese woman accused of attempting to trespass on the home of BTS member Jungkook in June.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the Seoul Western District Prosecutors Office made the decision to drop the charges on September 10. The decision was influenced by the fact that the woman, in her 30s, did not actually enter the K-pop star's home and is considered to pose a low risk of committing the offense again, as she has since returned to her home country.
The woman faced allegations of visiting Jungkook's residence in Seoul's Yongsan Ward during the late hours of June 11, the same day he was discharged from military service. She allegedly attempted to enter the property by pressing the keypad door lock multiple times.
Police were called to the scene and apprehended the woman. She reportedly informed police that her visit to South Korea was motivated by a desire to see Jungkook after his military discharge.
