Seoul: Three all-electric models from Hyundai Motor Group have been named top EV picks in three categories at an annual U.S. car awards, the company said Friday. Hyundai Motor Co.'s Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6 were honored as the Top EV Picks of 2026 in the Electric Car and Two-Row Electric SUV categories, respectively, by Cars.com, a leading U.S. automotive review website, according to a press release from the group.
According to Yonhap News Agency, this marks the second consecutive year that both models have earned recognition in their respective categories. Hyundai Motor North America's director of product planning, Ricky Lao, expressed that the continued recognition from Cars.com reinforces Hyundai's engineering capabilities. Lao emphasized the company's commitment to delivering electric vehicles that combine innovative design, efficiency, and advanced technology.
Additionally, Hyundai's smaller affiliate Kia Corp. received accolades, with its EV9 being named the Top EV Pick in the Three-Row electric SUV category. The recognition of these models underscores Hyundai Motor Group's growing presence and influence in the competitive electric vehicle market.
