Hyundai Motor Sees 2% Decline in March Sales Due to Overseas Demand Drop

Seoul: Hyundai Motor Co. reported a 2 percent decrease in its March sales compared to the previous year, attributing the decline to reduced demand in overseas markets. The company sold 365,812 vehicles last month, a drop from 373,290 units sold in March of the previous year, as outlined in a company press release.

According to Yonhap News Agency, while domestic sales showed a slight increase of 0.9 percent with 63,090 units, overseas sales experienced a 2.6 percent reduction, totaling 302,722 units. The Santa Fe emerged as the top-selling sport utility vehicle (SUV) in the local market, with 5,591 units sold.

A Hyundai Motor official stated, "We will strengthen our sales and production systems tailored to local demand and policies to respond flexibly to regional market changes." The company aims to adapt its strategies to better align with shifting regional market dynamics.
