Korea Interbank Offered Rates Remain Largely Unchanged

Seoul: The Korea Interbank Offered Rates (KORIBOR) saw negligible fluctuations today, as reported by Yonhap Infomax at 11:00 a.m. The rates, which are crucial benchmarks for lending between banks in South Korea, remained stable across most terms.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the 1-week, 1-month, 2-month, and 6-month KORIBOR rates held steady at 2.75%, 2.78%, 2.81%, and 2.84% respectively, showing no change from the previous session. The 3-month KORIBOR saw a slight decrease, dropping from 2.85% to 2.84%. Similarly, the 12-month rate experienced a minor decline, moving from 2.83% to 2.82%.

These rates are critical for determining the cost of borrowing in the interbank market and can influence various financial products and services in South Korea. The stability observed in most of the rates may indicate a steady lending environment among banks.
