Seoul: iM Financial Group on Monday reported its second-quarter net income of 159.3 billion won (US$115.2 million), marking a significant increase of 417.6 percent compared to the same period last year.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the company revealed in a regulatory filing that its operating profit for the April-June period surged by 493.3 percent year-on-year, reaching 198.6 billion won. Additionally, sales for the quarter increased by 12.4 percent, totaling 2.27 trillion won.
The reported earnings surpassed market expectations. Analysts, on average, had estimated a net profit of 137.9 billion won, as per a survey conducted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data division of Yonhap News Agency.
