KOSPI 200 Index Reflects Mixed Performance with Significant Declines in Key Stocks

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index exhibited a mixed performance as it closed with varied results across different sectors. Several major companies reported significant declines in their stock prices, impacting the overall index. Among the notable changes, LG Energy Solution, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, and Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. experienced substantial drops, contributing to a downward trend in the market.

According to Yonhap News Agency, LG Energy Solution saw a sharp decrease, closing at 294,000, a decline of 11,000. HD Hyundai Heavy Industries also faced a significant drop, with its closing price at 433,500, marking a decrease of 9,500. Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. followed suit, ending at 169,300, down by 7,000. These declines were indicative of the challenges faced by major players in the market.

Other companies such as POSCO Holdings and OTOKI also witnessed notable falls, with their closing prices at 253,500 and 389,000, respectively, both down by 9,000 and 8,500. LS Electric and Samsung Electronics Mech further added to the decline, closing at 269,000 and 130,300, respectively, with decreases of 6,500 and 3,000.

Despite the overall decline, some companies managed to close on a positive note. Doosan Robotics experienced a significant increase, closing at 59,100, up by 6,600. SKCHEM also saw an upward trend, closing at 69,400 with an increase of 5,500. LS recorded a rise in their stock price as well, ending at 182,400, up by 5,400.
