Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced a significant upward trend, with numerous stocks closing at higher prices. Among the companies, KIWOOM saw a rise of 1,500, closing at 205,500, while Hanwha Ocean increased by 1,800, reaching a closing price of 116,100. TKG Huchems and JB Financial Group also experienced gains, closing at 18,190 and 22,350, respectively.
According to Yonhap News Agency, HD Hyundai Infracore and HANMISemi also reported positive movements, with HD Hyundai Infracore closing at 16,550, up by 10, and HANMISemi closing at 87,900, with an increase of 1,100. DWEC and POSCO INTERNATIONAL followed suit, closing at 3,765 and 48,100, respectively. CJ CheilJedang reached 245,500, marking an increase of 500, while SamyangFood saw a substantial rise of 22,000, closing at 1,416,000.
KEPCO KPS ended the day at 51,100, up by 400, whereas LG H and H faced a decline, closing at 294,500, down by 4,000. DAEWOONG PHARM also saw a decrease, ending at 140,000, down by 1,000. On the other hand, LGCHEM experienced a notable increase, closing at 298,000, up by 8,500. KEPCO E and C saw a modest rise of 100, reaching 90,100, while HYUNDAIDEPTST fell by 200, closing at 69,100.
ShinhanGroup exhibited a strong performance, closing at 68,000 with an increase of 2,100. HYUNDAI ROTEM and LGELECTRONICS also closed higher, at 201,000 and 76,600, respectively. KIH experienced a significant gain of 2,400, ending at 139,300, while KDHC rose by 1,300, closing at 85,100. Conversely, GS and Misto Holdings faced slight declines, closing at 47,500 and 36,550, respectively.
LIG Nex1 showed a strong performance, closing at 614,000 with an increase of 14,000. HYUNDAIGLOVIS and HANAFINANCIALGR also closed higher, at 148,800 and 84,500, respectively. Hanwha Life and Foosung saw modest gains, closing at 3,360 and 4,830, respectively. SK Innovation experienced a significant rise of 3,100, ending at 106,500.
BNK Financial Group closed at 14,410, up by 320, while iM Financial Group ended at 13,880, with a rise of 400. POONGSAN saw a decline, closing at 134,400, down by 1,100. Meanwhile, emart, KBFinancialGroup, and Youngone Corp closed at 88,700, 112,400, and 57,900, respectively, all experiencing gains. CSWIND and GKL also closed higher, at 46,300 and 15,760, respectively.
KOLON IND and HanmiPharm ended the day with gains, closing at 39,600 and 282,500, respectively, marking increases of 600 and 6,000.
