Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed a day of gains with several companies marking significant increases in their stock prices. The index showcased strong performances from key players such as Samsung Biologics and HD Hyundai, among others.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Samsung Biologics experienced a notable rise with its shares climbing by 27,000 to close at 1,043,000. HD Hyundai also saw a significant increase, with its stock price ascending by 3,200 to reach 87,200. Other companies contributing to the upward trend included HYBE, which increased by 4,000 to close at 289,500, and SK Square, which rose by 3,400 to finish at 102,500.
Further boosting the index, HD Hyundai Electric and Krafton both saw their shares increase by 3,000, closing at 389,000 and 382,500, respectively. Netmarble's shares also climbed by 1,900, reaching 52,400, while DoubleUGames saw an increase of 1,100, ending at 51,400.
In addition, notable gains were observed in other companies such as HanmiPharm, which rose by 15,000 to 307,000, and HYOSUNG TNC, which increased by 11,500 to close at 246,000. iM Financial Group and BNK Financial Group also marked positive changes, with their shares rising by 90 and 180, respectively.
Conversely, some companies experienced declines. CHONGKUNDANG's stock dropped by 1,200 to 82,300, and APR saw a decrease of 1,600, closing at 109,900. Orion and KOLMAR KOREA also faced declines, with their shares falling by 600 and 700, respectively.
Overall, the KOSPI 200 reflected a positive trajectory with key sectors showing strength and resilience amidst the varying performances of individual companies.
