Seoul: The recent closing prices of the KOSPI 200 index revealed mixed movements across various sectors. Notable performers included Samsung SDS, which saw a significant increase, and LIG Nex1, which also recorded substantial gains.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Samsung SDS experienced a notable surge, closing at 191,800, an increase of 19,800. LIG Nex1 also demonstrated strong performance with its shares rising by 21,000 to close at 630,000. Meanwhile, KEPCO KPS saw an increase of 2,700, bringing its closing price to 60,400. Other companies such as Hyundai Rotem and Shinhan Group also reported gains, with their shares rising by 2,000 and 800, respectively.
On the other hand, several companies faced declines. LG Chem saw a decrease of 9,000, closing at 202,500. Similarly, Hanmi Semi and Daewoong Pharm experienced declines, with their shares falling by 2,600 and 6,400, respectively. Amorepacific also witnessed a decline, with its shares dropping by 3,400 to 142,100. Other companies like Kumho Tire and Hanwha Ocean also reported downtrends in their share prices.
The overall movements in the KOSPI 200 index reflect a day of mixed outcomes for investors, with certain sectors outperforming while others experienced declines.
