KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Movements with Notable Gains in Financial Sector

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced a range of movements, with significant gains observed in the financial sector. Notable changes included an increase in Meritz Financial's stock, which rose by 5,000 points to close at 124,100. BNK Financial Group also saw a positive change, climbing 260 points to reach 10,350, while iM Financial Group increased by 90 points, ending at 10,280.

According to Yonhap News Agency, other sectors also experienced fluctuations. Hyundai M and F INS recorded an 800-point rise, closing at 22,200. Among notable gainers, HYBE saw a substantial increase of 14,000 points, closing at 267,000, and HanmiPharm surged by 22,000 points to reach 269,000.

In contrast, some stocks experienced declines. KOLON IND decreased by 500 points to 30,150, and CJ fell by 1,500 points, closing at 124,300. HS HYOSUNG ADVANCED saw a significant drop of 3,400 points, ending at 177,800, while SK hynix decreased by 3,300 points, closing at 177,500.

Meanwhile, the gaming and technology sectors had mixed outcomes. KRAFTON rose by 1,500 points to 371,500, while Netmarble experienced a decline of 300 points, closing at 44,700. Doosan Robotics fell by 800 points to 50,400, and Doosan Bobcat increased by 400 points, closing at 49,000.

Overall, the KOSPI 200 index reflected a day of varied performances, with notable strengths in the financial sector and mixed results across other industries.
