KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Performances with Notable Gains in Aerospace and Retail

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index closed with a variety of performances among its listed companies, featuring gains in aerospace and retail sectors. HANWHA AEROSPACE saw a significant rise, closing at 830,000, up by 2,000. Similarly, LOTTE SHOPPING experienced an increase, ending at 68,100 with a gain of 3,300.

According to Yonhap News Agency, several other companies also recorded positive movements. KEPCO increased by 1,000 to close at 25,300, while SamsungSecu rose by 1,100, finishing at 46,000. SKTelecom and Hyundai Elevator recorded gains of 300 and 700, closing at 58,000 and 70,100, respectively.

Meanwhile, Hanchem's shares went up by 4,600 to reach 115,600. In the technology sector, SK hynix saw an increase of 1,600, closing at 176,600, and SAMSUNG SDS ended at 116,900, up by 500.

However, there were also declines in the index. CJ experienced a significant drop, with a decrease of 6,900, closing at 114,100. POSCO DX fell by 550 to 23,750, while LOTTE WELLFOOD saw a reduction of 2,400, ending at 117,200.

Other notable declines included SKCHEM and HyundaiEng and Const, which decreased by 250 and 350, closing at 36,650 and 39,000, respectively. SamsungE and A fell by 190 to 19,110, and Kakao dropped by 100 to 38,900.

In the financial sector, SAMSUNG CARD recorded a rise of 400, ending at 41,000, while IBK increased by 120 to 14,700. LG Display and LG Uplus saw modest increases, closing at 8,190 and 11,530, respectively.

Overall, the KOSPI 200 displayed mixed outcomes, reflecting varied performances across different sectors.
