KOSPI 200 Sees Notable Gains with Hyundai Rotem and Hanjin KAL Leading the Surge

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced a wave of gains as numerous companies reported increased closing prices. Among the top performers were Hyundai Rotem and Hanjin KAL, which posted significant increases, contributing to the overall positive trend in the market.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Hyundai Rotem saw its stock price rise by 11,200, closing at 136,600, marking a prominent gain. Hanjin KAL also reported a substantial increase of 12,800, closing at 132,900, reflecting strong investor interest. Other notable performers included LGCHEM, which saw its stock price increase by 5,300 to reach 187,700, and KB Financial Group, which rose by 3,000 to close at 102,000.

Additionally, companies such as Daewoong Pharm and TaekwangInd reported significant gains. Daewoong Pharm's stock increased by 2,900, closing at 143,900, while TaekwangInd saw a rise of 19,000, closing at 864,000. SeAH Steel Holdings also contributed to the upward trend with a gain of 7,500, closing at 231,500.

However, not all companies experienced positive outcomes. L and F saw a decrease of 200, closing at 47,800, and HyundaiDeptst's stock fell by 600, ending at 70,100. Hanwha Vision and MiwonComcl also reported declines, with their prices dropping by 1,000 and 1,300, respectively.

Overall, the KOSPI 200 index demonstrated a robust performance, driven by substantial gains in key sectors, highlighting investor confidence in the market.
