KOSPI 200 Stocks Showcase Mixed Performance on Korea Stock Exchange

Seoul: Wednesday's trading session on the Korea Stock Exchange saw varied movements among the KOSPI 200 stocks, with several showing notable gains and others witnessing declines.

According to Yonhap News Agency, SK hynix experienced a significant rise, closing at 240,000 KRW, an increase of 9,500 KRW. Hanwha, on the other hand, saw a decline, closing at 94,500 KRW with a decrease of 600 KRW. Meanwhile, DL also reported a decrease, ending at 46,600 KRW, down by 250 KRW. In contrast, KIA Corp. recorded a rise, closing at 96,900 KRW, up by 2,400 KRW.

Other notable changes included Hyundai Engineering and Construction, which closed at 72,100 KRW, marking a rise of 100 KRW. Samsung Fire and Marine Insurance also saw an uptick, closing at 440,000 KRW, up by 6,000 KRW. Hyundai Motor recorded an increase, closing at 201,000 KRW, up by 4,000 KRW.

Noteworthy declines were observed in companies like Daewoong, which fell by 850 KRW to close at 27,000 KRW. Likewise, POSCO International experienced a decline, closing at 51,400 KRW, a decrease of 300 KRW.

Among other performers, Samyang Food saw a considerable increase, closing at 1,197,000 KRW, up by 40,000 KRW. Taekwang Industrial also recorded a rise, ending at 1,050,000 KRW, up by 14,000 KRW. POSCO Holdings showed an increase, closing at 266,500 KRW, up by 4,500 KRW.

Overall, the trading session reflected a mix of gains and losses among the KOSPI 200 stocks, highlighting the varying market conditions on the Korea Stock Exchange.
