The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) dropped four-point-77 points, or zero-point-18 percent, on Thursday, closing the day at two-thousand-612-point-45.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also fell, losing one-point-26 points, or zero-point-14 percent, to close at 871-point-43.
On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened two-point-four won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-267 won.
