The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) fell 33-point-64 points, or one-point-28 percent, on Thursday, closing the day at two-thousand-592-point-34.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also fell, losing seven-point-77 points, or zero-point-89 percent, to close at 863-point-80.
On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened eleven-point-one won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-277-point-seven won.
