KT Partners with Palantir to Boost AI Transformation Business

Seoul: KT Corp., a South Korean telecommunications company, announced its partnership with U.S. software platform firm Palantir Technologies Inc. to enhance its artificial intelligence (AI) transformation business.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the strategic partnership with Palantir is aimed at accelerating KT's AI transformation (AX) business in the United States and exploring joint business opportunities in the domestic market. KT stated in a press release that the combination of Palantir's core AI solutions and KT's advanced cloud and network infrastructure will enable them to provide optimized AI solutions to local companies in Korea.

Through this collaboration, KT has become the first Korean company to join Palantir's "Worldwide Partner Ecosystem," a network of partner companies with technological capabilities, as an official member. This alliance with Palantir follows KT's five-year partnership with Microsoft Corp. signed last year, which involved a 2.4 trillion-won (US$1.65 billion) investment to jointly develop AI technologies and new cloud services.

KT, known as the country's biggest fixed-line service provider and second-biggest wireless service provider, has declared its intention to transform into an "AICT" company, integrating AI, telecommunications, and information and communications technology (ICT). KT Chief Executive Officer Kim Young-shub emphasized the company's commitment to innovation at a press conference held during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 earlier this month in Spain.
